For many years, skin care products were thought of as something that only women used. But those days are OVER guys! A healthy skin care regimen is just as important for men as it is for women. However, guys are a little shy about asking for men’s beauty tips. Perhaps they just feel a little less manly to have a bathroom full of ‘beauty’ products, but who doesn’t want to look their best, naturally? Men should take good care of their skin no less, so let’s discuss it here and now. There’s nothing wrong about being conscious with your skin.

So let me break it down into 7 tips for a great looking skin for men to help our guys out there reap the rewards of good skin care, in an organic, healthy way.

1. Stay Hydrated

Organic Grooming Products for Men, 7 Tips for a Great Looking Skin for Men - Living Organic, organic skincare tips for men, natural skincare tips for men, skincare products for men organic, grooming products for men organic, stay hydrated

Drinking enough water doesn’t just help the inside of your body, it also helps your skin appear brighter, smoother, and livelier. Drinking at least eight glasses of water a day is the key. Sports drinks are not counted, all you need is water and some hydrating veggies to balance your electrolytes.

2. Get a Great Organic Soap

Just because you can’t see the dirt and grime on your skin, doesn’t mean that it isn’t there. That is why cleansing your skin is a must! If you recall the things you did all day, you can never ignore the fact that you are exposed to pollution, car exhaust, cigarette smoke and even room deodorizers. All of these can damage your skin that is why it should be washed away before the day ends. However, you can’t just grab any withered old bar soap. The additives, artificial fragrances, dyes and whirlwind of other chemicals found in conventional soaps can leave a feeling of dried out skin. Get a bar of Organic Soap for a gentle, effective cleanse.

3. Exfoliate Once a Week

Exfoliation is the process of removing the dead skin cells from the surface to reveal the new skin cells beneath. Our skin exfoliates naturally but as we get older, the process of exfoliation starts to slow down and we need to help it along. Choose an Organic Exfoliator that contains scrubby particles to help smooth the skin and eliminate dullness. Applying once a week is great and twice a week is ideal. However, you can create your own exfoliator without spending money. Simply mix a teaspoon or so of organic, extra-virgin coconut oil with half a teaspoon of coconut sugar. Gently rub into your skin for a couple minutes before you wash your face.

4. Shave Smart then Moisturize

Those conventional shaving creams and foams may be aggravating to sensitive skin. A lot of shaving cream ingredients in your typical drugstore have also been linked to cancer and hormone disruptions. You don’t need to stop shaving because of this, but you can always choose healthy alternatives, like this recipe:

Melt the coconut oil and shea butter at a low temperature in a double-boiler, then add the sweet almond or olive oil and stir it up. Pour into a large bowl and let it firm up in the refrigerator. Then use a mixer to whip it up into a consistency closer to a shaving cream. Then store in an airtight container.

If it cost you too much time and effort, you can always try this Dr. Bronner’s Organic Shaving Gel.

5. Heal Dry, Rough Skin

If we talk about skincare, we can’t forget the skin in our hands. If you have dry, rough hands that require some serious moisture, get a tub of pure shea butter. You can also use a little unrefined coconut oil or jojoba oil in your hands and apply that in any parts of your body that are having a dry skin.

6. Eat Healthy

If you have oily skin, or experiences acne often, check out your diet. Eating a lot of junk or processed foods can really take a toll on your face, as well as your entire body. The real key to youthful skin is your diet. Take a look at these few tips on what to eat more and what not to eat.

What to Eat More

  • Organic Cabbage. Contains a lot of Vitamin C and some Vitamin A too. It also detoxifies the blood and the fiber helps push wastes and toxins out of your body.
  • Organic Pears. Just be sure to eat the skin since this is where most of the anti-aging nutrients are found.
  • Watery vegetables or fruits. It helps in hydration, which will make your skin look younger and radiant.

What not to Eat

  • Cut back on meat and dairy products. Just eat less meat and look for grass-fed, organic options.
  • Skip coffee and caffeinated tea because they can dehydrate your skin.
  • Fried Foods.

7. Dump the Baggage under your Eyes

One of the very first places we start to notice the signs of aging is around the eyes. Unfortunately, this is the very place that many men tend to neglect. Under eye problems can be a result of fluid retention or stress, (and lack of sleep of course). So to flush out what you can, grind on a celery. Celery works in two ways: it reduces stress hormones and it acts like a mild diuretic to encourage excess fluid to leave the body. You can also pick up a hydrating cream right away. It will help hydrate, smooth and protect your skin every day.

Gentlemen, it’s really that simple! If you incorporate these 7 tips for a great looking skin for men into your daily regimen, you will definitely notice a difference in your appearance. It’s an easy way towards healthy, handsome skin.

Don’t always tie your hair up tight. It gives your hair more pressure which adds to the breakage and hair fall.

Wash hair regularly with lukewarm to cold water to keep the scalp clean and healthy – but avoid washing hair too frequently.

7. Regular trim

Trim your hair regularly to avoid the troubles of split ends. Keep your hair clean. Use Organic Shampoo whenever possible.

Our teeth is one of the first things that people notice in our face. It is well accepted that possessing a great smile can boost our self-confidence and attractiveness. When making first impression, having teeth that looks like you don’t brush them can send a signal that you don’t really care about yourself. This is the reason why more people spend lots of dollars in over-the-counter teeth whitening products every year. The best way, but not always the easiest is to simply brush your teeth at least twice a day. It is the most important part of your dental care routine. Pick the right toothbrush, a soft bristled toothbrush for sensitive teeth and gums is recommended.

  1. Baking Soda

This is one of the most popular of the natural teeth whitening home remedies. Sodium bicarbonate (its scientific name) is mildly abrasive; gently scrubbing away surface stains to return teeth to a white shade. Some pair it with lemon and some with hydrogen peroxide to create a smile-brightening effect. Only brush with this solution up to once a week as it can rip away the tooth enamel if used to frequently. If you experience some negative effect, discontinue use as baking soda may be too abrasive for your gums.

  1. Coconut Oil Pulling

This may sound weird but rinsing your mouth with Organic coconut oil is a unique, old remedy that helps whiten teeth. The lauric acid from the coconut oil can rid your teeth of bacteria found in plaque that can make them yellow. Simply take one tablespoon of a pure, organic oil and swish it around your mouth for 15-20 minutes. Sip and suck the oil to make it move around your mouth. 1. Lemon or Orange Peel

Cleaning your teeth with Organic fresh orange or lemon peel on a regular basis will reduce the yellow tinge gathered on your teeth. Rub the peel over your teeth every night before going to sleep. The vitamin C and Calcium from the peel will combat the microorganisms throughout the night. After using lemon or orange peel, rinse afterwards. Expect noticeable effective result after few weeks.

How to Wash Your Face Properly : Correct Your Way of Washing and See the Difference

how to wash your face, how to wash face, how to take care of your face, how to clean your face, how to get clear skin, how to clean face, organic living, organic living chic. organic living tips

Are you washing your face before going to bed? Did you know that its the most important part of our skincare regimen? It is  one of the things that most people take for granted! Busy schedules and too much work in the morning will result to tiredness thus we tend to skip washing our face in the evening. Though, some may not skip it, washed their face every day but they are doing it all wrong! Check this out as you may be one of the persons who until now don’t wash their face properly.

If you wash your face incorrectly, it can lead to all kinds of problems like damaged skin tissue, inflammation and redness, acne and dryness. The skin in your face is different from other skin on the rest of your body, so it requires different treatment. So follow our step-by-step guide to get your skin clean and keep it healthy.

Step 1: Wash your hands

Dirty hands can transfer oil, bacteria and dirt to your face, so start cleaning your hands with antibacterial soap. And if you have an eye makeup, remove it before you begin to cleanse. You may not be able to clean into your pores if makeup is there. Use makeup remover on cotton pads or makeup wipes.

Step 2: Splash warm water over your face

Warm water opens your pores and helps clean deeper, so avoid using cold water if possible.  If the water is too cold, your pores will tighten and you won’t be able to clean them out. On the other hand, if the water is too hot, your skin will get dried out. So, lukewarm water is best to use when washing.

Step 3: Apply your preferred cleanser

5 Steps on How to Wash Your Face Properly Step3, how to wash your face, how to wash face, how to take care of your face, how to clean your face, how to get clear skin, how to clean face, organic living, organic living chic, organic living tips

Applying Organic Facial Cleanser is better here. Spread all over the face gently in circular motion, especially if you have acne. Apply a bit of pressure when you wash to stimulate blood flow, but don’t press too hard. Scrubbing hard will make it worse or even leave scars.

Step 4: Scrub your skin gently

Use damp, soft washcloth or soniclear to gently massage your skin in circular motions. Start on your forehead, and then move down the nose to the chin, and then scrub each cheek. Remember not to apply too much pressure and don’t pull.

Step 5: Rinse away the soap thoroughly

Splash your face with slightly cooler than lukewarm water, rubbing gently with your hands after each splash. Don’t forget the edges of your face and the area around your nose and ears. Many people tend to miss the edges of their face which leads to soap residue build up and can cause unsightly breakouts. You may also pat your skin dry with a clean towel but remember no to wipe or rub because it can also tear and irritate your delicate skin.

Done! Now which part of your face would you start washing? Start washing your face at your forehead, and work your way to your nose, then outward to your cheeks and eventually down to your face and neck.

Do you have your own face washing routine? Share with us in the comments below :)
